Comanche Trace

Comanche Trace

Comanche Trace in Kerrville, Texas, is home to the Pinnacle Grill overlooking the Comanche Trace golf course and the great Texas Hill Country. I was excited when Comanche Trace asked me to photograph some of the Pinnacle Grill’s best dishes to be featured in advertisements, online, and in their development’s magazine, Lifestyle of Comanche Trace and the Texas Hill Country.

With beige linens, red wine, and a spectacular Hill Country view at every angle, this photo shoot was a magical one for me.

First on the list of still shots was the Southwestern Chicken Salad, a favorite lunch item of many club members.

The grill’s own spin on chicken fried chicken came next, with a vegetable gravy over a gorgeous bed of linguini.

Finally, the traditional rosemary lamb chops, accompanied by mashed potatoes and oh-so-artful steamed vegetables.

One of the lamb chop photos ultimately became the feature photograph on the Pinnacle Grill’s advertisement in the Lifestyle magazine.

At the end of the stills, I had the pleasure of working with custom home builder Arthur Schmidt and his wife before their lunch at the grill. They were all smiles popping open that bottle of champagne…

…and all alone overlooking the Hill Country, except for the deer heads.

Not exactly the most amiable of dinner guests, huh?
